Silly question, perhaps, but I'm very unfamiliar with how one monitors
whether a known problem still exists.  I have held off updating my Sid
system because of the libc6 problem, but only because of messages on this
list and the apt bug function (thank you to whoever put that in! :).  I'd
guess the above question about Gnome possibly falls under my question as
well.

What do people do to find this out?  I noted the thread about the libc6
problem under the specific bug number, but is that where one would track
whether it was fixed?  Or is there a more concise way to do it?
