This should work: setterm -blank 1 setterm -powersave powerdown setterm -powerdown 2 setterm -store The screen does blank after 1 minute, but it does not power down after two (nor three) minutes. Could be because of kernel bug 12653. http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12653 What else could be wrong?
