Both Debian Live and debox (Debian on a One Laptop per Child laptop) create a Debian system (kernel & apps) on a 2 Gb partition of a usb drive or sdcard, actually using about half of that space. An incredible achievement making the systems available when space is very constricted.
But what if you have say an 8 Gb drive or card? It is apparently difficult to change partition sizes. The extra space can be partitioned and used to store data but it is not possible to have one large partition using all the available space? I used to create separate partitions for /var, /usr and /home but was instructed to create just one large root partition and let the subdirectories grow as need be. Is the 2 Gb partition dictated by some usb drive/sdcard contraint? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
