Further thoughts. You should be able to get connected to the net already, assuming your modem is up and running. You can use the lynx text browser to locate the driver you need, heres the page its located at:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_1.0-4496.html
Theres a README file there as well.
