What interface is your burner? IDE/SATA?
What does hdparm -v /dev/hdc (or your_burner_here_say)?
What happens when you use growisofs directly?

dvd+rw-tools: /usr/bin/growisofs
dvd+rw-tools-dbg: /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/growisofs
Did burning ever work? When did it stop working? Was it from a kernel
upgrade? Were any other components changed in the system?
What kind of burner/media?
