I got an HP Deskjet 960c printer for Christmas and would like to set
it up in Debian testing, but I've never setup a printer in Linux
before. What should I do?

Install the software for printing
apt-get install cups cups-bsd cups-client cups-common cups-driver-gutenprint
hpijs hpijs-ppds hplip hplip-data hplip-gui
Then use a web browser and goto http://127.0.0.1:631/
Configure your printer using the web interface, you need to add a
printer/queue, set it up/test, print.
