Is anybody here running KVM on a single-core Athlon CPU, in particular on a newer 45W LE-series processor like the Athlon LE-1640?
My understanding is that all multicore AMD CPUs (X2, X3 or X4) support KVM, but I'm not too sure with single-core CPUs, inasmuch as my current 1800MHz Sempron (which I'm planning to upgrade RSN) doesn't support it. Information on the web appear to contradict each other, with Wikipedia stating that all socket AM2 Athlons support AMD-V while most online sellers conspicuously fail to list "AMD-V" or "virtualization" in the box for supported features (with Newegg even putting a "No" in the row for "Virtualization Technology Support"). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
