How long did you watch it for? On the box where I noticed the anomaly, it was sitting at 99% whereas "mplayer <samemovie>" sat at around 14%. A google search confirmed that gmplayer was the cause. There are other GUI frontends but I've never looked at them. > use mplayer, assuming that all the controls are the same.
