I hate web browsers, except that without one, one can't surf the weeb.

I like konqueror (although I use icewm instead of KDE). They all take
up a lot of memory. In fact, web browsing is what caused me to buy a
new computer. I also differentiate needing graphics/javascript or not.
If I don't need javascript or graphics, I use lynx. If I need graphics
but not javascript, then I may (or may not) use links2. However, my
perception is that if I need javascript, then I'd be safer using a
browser that is more common or that has its code looked at by more
people since I perceive that the potential for security issues is
greater with javascript enabled.

I also find that there are some sites that work with firefox that don't
with konqueror: konq will display its bad-html icon and do nothing on a
link, whereas iceweasel will work. I like konq's bookmark system
better.

When I was running a small box and sshing to the big box to run a
browser, it also mattered _where_ that memory was being used. I forget
which was which (between Konq and Iceweasel) but one used the memory in
the xorg driver (therefore on the small box I was using) and the other
used the memory on the box on which it was running (the big box in that
case).

In short, for "full featured" web browsing, unfortunatly lots of memory
is required.
