Installing it in a vented cabinet is not exactly easy because the noise will escape through the ventilation openings. You might be able to get it reasonably quiet by removing the fans and replacing them with large fans that you put on top of the case. You'd have to cut holes through the case for that. It is possible that the disks need to be blown at by a fan and that they are very loud by themselves. One more problem is the power supply. If it's a flat one as commonly used for 19" cases, they usually have very small fans running at high speed, being very noisy. You might want to replace that with a quiet one from a tower case.
