Hello!

I am running etch in a system with a CRT monitor. I want to switch to a LCD
one. Is there a smooth way to do it? I mean, do I need to change something
in xorg.conf?

Thanks in advance

Marcelo

Assuming the same screen resolution, you do nto need to do anything.

If you use Gimp colour profiles then, as with any monitor change, you
will need to recalibrate. If you don't know what this means, then you
do not need to worry about it!

Hi Dotan,

thank you for the answer! But I remember twhen installing Debian, the configuration program of xserver.org asked if I had a LCD monitor. In fact, when installing debian on my laptop I always asnwered "yes" to this question. If the same xorg.conf file works both with CRT and LCD monitors, why ask?

Regards

Marcelo
