I forgot to mention I do not use desktop environment just plain X + fluxbox as window manager, or the console, so setting the proxy through gnome/kde proxy specification doesn't work for me. As you could notice, for apt/aptitude I set http_proxy/ftp_proxy env. variables... Under icedax "man" I don't see anything referring to proxy...
