You might want to check your security section in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf. Look for something like: <Location /> Order Deny,Allow Deny From All Allow From 127.0.0.1 Allow From 192.168.0.0/24 </Location> This means that only localhost and the localnetwork (192.168.0.x) are allowed to connect to cups.
