Can you adjust the amount of system RAM allocated to the onboard video? Perhaps setting that to 0 will disable it. Did you completely cold start the machine, i.e. pull the power plug out of it? Did you reseat the PCIe board in its socket? Did you have the computer unplugged when you installed the board?
