and I managed to make the Momodesign umts modem work under Debian Etch. Although, the connection is very slow: 15 Kb/s whereas under MS Windows they're about 80 Kb/s. Does anyone have any experience with this matter and/or any suggestions about what the problem might be with Debian Linux? I compiled the kernel, as described in the above guide, so it shouldn't be because the kernel is too old. Maybe a complete kernel update is necessary?
