Michelle,I may be talking rubbish, but I remembered there was a PCB layout design tool called Eagle; it was German but I think it had also English interface. It worked both in MS Windows and in Linux environment. Not sure if this is what you need. I googled their webpage out: http://www.cadsoft.de/
