Hi
I have just installed debian with a static IP address. When I bring up
the desktop, I have no internet connection. I set up the gateway and
dns. It all works.
When I reboot I loose all my settings and have to start over again.
How can I get the system to retain DNS and gateway settings?
/etc/network/interfaces has the correct gateway.
I have lots of debian systems and never had this problem before?
