I recompiled using ./configure --prefix=/usr/bin now it works. the INSTALL file in gnupg says that the default install is to /usr/local/bin kmail looks for it in /usr/bin Installation Names ================== By default, `make install' will install the package's files in `/usr/local/bin', `/usr/local/man', etc. You can specify an installation prefix other than `/usr/local' by giving `configure' the option `--prefix=PATH'. now it works. -- Paul Cartwright Registered Linux user # 367800 Registered Ubuntu User #12459
