It seems to that your Nvidia GLX isn't working, try running
'glxgears' (in the mesa-utils package) from a terminal, this problably
won't work then.
Check your Nvidia X Server Settings / OpenGL/GLX Information. If No GLX
Extensions are shown in the top right box you'll have to update your
driver. I use version 169.12 and everything works fine, but you'll have
to check if your card is supprted. For some more info on your xorg.conf

Also, I start compiz using 'compiz --replace ccp'
