you killed a window for which your window manager was directly responsable, and then your session manager (icewm-session, which previously had icewm and icewmtray as childs) generated the process icewmbg As the man page (for icewm-lite) says, icewm-session will invoke all needed programs like icewmbg (background configurator) and icewmtray.
