"Better"? Not if you've got a heavily-burdened multi-CPU system. But better if you want to run a desktop or heavy server apps in a seriously RAM-limited system. > is there any way to customize debian etch so it use server resource less? Depends on which server resources. Apache2 is *not* known to be light-weight. At a minimum, you'll need to roll your own kernel, stripping out *everything* that is not needed. Same with the base system. Start stripping, and be ruthless about it. - -- Ron Johnson, Jr. Jefferson LA USA We want... a Shrubbery!! -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFH8DvHS9HxQb37XmcRAo2cAJ4iSrhqF9syw/2+ECEA/PYWl1085QCeNK7F +tyX2uMnIM/Pzb1eMCmHzc8= =/esX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
