I had some problems with a really slow connection to a particular website. It turned out that *their* IPv6 was configured incorrectly (it has been fixed for that particular site). In order to avoid these kind of problems, I disabled IPv6 in iceweasel: In about:config set network.dns.disableIPv6 true > Of course my ISP is not using IPV6 so I suppose it wouldn't really > affect me if I disable the service. I don't know how to disable IPv6 globally.
