A couple of weeks ago on a web forum I frequent, one of the members reported that a website the forum membership finds very useful suddenly stopped working with Firefox (he uses Windows). So, he sent feedback to the webiste and actually received a phone call from the contracted web developer. The developer stated that only IE would be supported and that the Mozilla browsers would specifically not be supported due to "security issues", an argument I found absurd.
The thread ebbed and flowed until a few days ago. Last night another member made in interesting comment about the security issues of FF. This morning it hit me that he was refering to the development security of FF which he alleged makes it inferior to IE with its OEM control. So, is MS waging a whisper campaign against FF to web developers? I don't know. But keep an ear out for that kind of catch phrase. It seems to have suddenly appeared in recent weeks. It might be interesting to learn more about where the allegations of FF "security issues" are coming from. - Nate >> -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds.
