I do not know, what you mean, but since I have changed from "Sarge" to
"Etch" the xserver ist starting much faster and consumes less memory
I use following graphiccards:
Matrox Millenium MGA 2 and 4 MByte
Matrox Millenium II 4 and 8 MByte
Matrox G200 Quad-Head
Matrox G400
Matrox G450 Dual-Head
NeoMagic
Computers are from P2/333 to AMD Opteron 280 with 128 MByte to 32 GByte
of memory.
