Dear Debian Users, I've been trying for a long time to record from my sound card's PCM out to a Wave file. I've tried many things, but all I get is silence! :-)
Anyway, let me make a start. http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/Record_from_pcm is what I have been referring to, but my sound card does not seem to have the Mix control at all. The other (Capture etc.) controls are OK, and I get no error, but the sound just doesn't record. Could you please give me some pointers? Thanks.
