We are trying to install Debian Etch on the local disks of an IBM
x3650 server which has two Qlogic HBAs connected to an IBM N3700
Netapp appliance. On the N3700, we have a LUN created for the x3650.
We are having a strange problem, that the LUN on the N3700 is seen as /
sda (0,0,1) and /sdb (0,0,1) (because there are 2 qlogic cards) and
the local RAID1 disk array on the x3650 is seen as /sdc (0,0,0)
But the local disk array should be seen as /sda. Are there anyone who
might have experienced a problem like this and solved it?
We have tried RHEL5 on the server to see if it does see the disks in
the correct order and yes, it sees the local disk array as /sda.
