The computer I am sending this email over is not the computer I am trying to configure. The target computer is a Dell 8100. I downloaded the entire 20+ cds, then bought the 2005 Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 book with cds. Mostly it didn't give me much good info since the cds that came with it hung on my computer. Yes I am a Linux uniformed person. I did build a Red Hat system and gave to a customer but I always look around. I am assuming I just don't know how to make it work since I have done most of my work on windows(---ssssss). Whats the customers mostly want.

Any thoughts on my lack of understanding for setup would be appreciated. As an aside, I have used several unix systems and a couple of Linux systems in software development using several communications protocols. These installers don't move the same way my brain does.

What exactly is the problem you are facing? Please excuse me if I failed to spot it in your post.
