I use the parameters "-v" (verbose) and "-V" (show versions) when using aptitude in comand-line mode. In the manpage of aptitude you can find the following: -V, --show-versions Show which versions of packages will be installed. This corresponds to the configuration option Aptitude::CmdLine::Show- Versions. -v, --verbose Causes some commands (for instance, show) to display extra information. This may be supplied multiple times to get more and more information. This corresponds to the configuration option Aptitude::CmdLine::Verbose. Hope that helps, Best Regards, Salvatore -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
