This book is useful is you have some general linux background as its entirely Debian (sarge) specific. He has the website, so it will, I expect, have ocassional updates for Etch, which added much new and fun changes. IIRC Martin is in the process of updating it, but with no clear timeframe I know of. If you are lucky to live in German, iirc, you can get his book in the better binding that open and stays flat for reading. > > Since the standard references you'll hear on the list (non-printed) are: > Debian-reference > harden-doc > shorewall-doc > > and are available in ps format, why not just either print them yourself > or take them to a print shop and have them printed and bound in some > way. I did this for woody and it was very nice to have a nice bound copy to read, annotate and spill food on! I went to Kinko's with the Pdf file and they were able to work with this. One more thing. There are Debian specific book written in languages other than English (like French and German). Some Debian people have written such books. -- | .''`. == Debian GNU/Linux == | my web site: | | : :' : The Universal |mysite.verizon.net/kevin.mark/| | `. `' Operating System | go to counter.li.org and | | `- http://www.debian.org/ | be counted! #238656 | | my keyserver: subkeys.pgp.net | my NPO: cfsg.org | |join the new debian-community.org to help Debian! | |_______ Unless I ask to be CCd, assume I am subscribed _______| -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
