This what I did: - downloaded the driver. The Dell 720 is a rebranding of Lexmark and RedHat has a package for the driver. - I untarred the tarball - used alien to create .deb files - used dpkg -i to install the .deb files - used "Add a Printer" - it detected my printer USB port but could not offer me the z600* driver
