I have a Xerox Phaser 8500 for which I had a ppd file from Xerox originally but did not think to save it for the install. Now Xerox no longer makes it available so I have been trying with a UNIX ppd file and just a generic postscript printer ppd. The printer is connected with an ethernet connection to a small hub which is connected to my computer with a network card with address 10.10.11.3, the printer has address 10.10.11.10. I have another network card connecting my computer to the internet using dhcp. > Also, post your /etc/cups/printers.conf.
