If the sixth field (fs_passno) is non-zero, fsck will attempt to check the filesystem regardless of noauto... always failing on a not-plugged-in usb device with the error message reported. It is VERY early in the morning. A lunar eclipse is just beginning. Really sharpens up the mental processes.
