The command ifconfig can be used, but note that by default it's not in a
regular user's path, so use /sbin/ifconfig. This will show the settings
for each interface; you can alternatively specify the interface you want
to see, e.g,.
$ ifconfig eth0
If you're behind a NAT router (or even if not), there are websites that
can show you the Internet IP you're on, e.g., perhaps checkmyip.com.

ip addr show
ip is part of the iproute package as well.
