That worked. Did "sudo aptitude --purge remove nvidia-glx", logged out, restarted gdm and logged back in and glx worked. It is veeery slow (understandably) but my OpenGL program runs at least. BTW, I get this in Xorg's log file: $> cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep '(EE)' (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown. (EE) Failed to load module "type1" (module does not exist, 0) (EE) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI capable If the second error a problem? Is trying to remove it worthwhile?
