Is it possible to tell syslogd under what conditions to roll over each syslog file? Under FreeBSD, for example, there is a file called newsyslog.conf which lets one tellsyslogd to start a new syslog file at Midnight or some other designated hour instead of just waiting until the log file has X bytes in it and then rolling it over.
I would like to do that same thing on all the Debian systems I run. Am I just missing the right documentation or is there no way to do that through the stock syslogd? Thank you.
