Hi Wayne, Pretty straightforward your PS1 example. That's one bridge too far for me now, as I'm only for about one year on Debian.
I simply use PS1='M> ' for user and PS1='R> ' for root :-) For me, the rest is redundant info, which only distracts me. Isn't Debian (Linux) fun! Yes, it is. That's exactly why I choose this particular distro. Greetings, Manon.
