Hi I have a machine that is attached to a TV, for watch stuff dvd's etc with mplayer.
what I do currently is log into the machine and start X with /usr/bin/X11/X :0.0 vt07 & and then start watching stuff with export DISPLAY=:0.0 mplayer <file> now it works for the first file, but then goes whacky, mplayer locks up, X locks up what i have seen in the /var/log/Xorg.0.0.log it says some thing about nvidia wait (1,.... and nvidia wait (2,.... i have to kill -9 all the tasks - mplayer and X any thoughts on what I have to do to X to start it properly ????
