while you may certainly run whatever combination of interface and
servers you like, it is generally considered "extraneous fluff" to run
a GUI environment on a server. But then it depends on your setup and
potential usage. I"ve run a couple different servers on my personal
work machine because it had the horsepower and diskspace and was on
all the time anyway. its really up to you. but the heavier the load,
the less you'll want to waste resources on running X and the like ona
machine for which it has no use.
