I have tried installing this package on two of my three machines and had

up during the boot process.
So I was wondering if anyone had any tips if they got it working on

I've tried it, with a few different vga=parameters using the debian
bootsplash & bootsplash-themes packages and although it changes resolution
and loads the frambuffer at boot (verified via dmesg) it doesn't display
any splash image but boots normally as framebuffer-text.
Yea this is what I am seeing also. I tried downloading the patch to the
kernel from bootshplash.de but the latest kernal patch they had was for
2.6.15 and I am running 2.6.18 and it wouldn't compile. I would love to
get this working now, most just b/c I haven't figured it out than
anything else. :) I haven't given up, but it has been put on the back
burner....
