Thanks, that did the trick. Not sure why I never had to do this before... it is possible that I used to compile the necessary drivers into the kernel. This was a first run to see if the kernel would compile with the patches and therefore I did not really do any kernel configuration. Thanks again, rdc -- Robert D.
