Hmm... yes. I've tried with xterm using a 20,000-line scrollback, and zsh: for i in {1..30000}; echo $i On my 400 Mhz PowerBook G4, Debian/testing, XTerm 225: 71 seconds (but only 6 seconds with a 600-line scrollback). With rxvt (and a 20,000-line scrollback): 17 seconds. On my 2.7 GHz Power Mac G5, Mac OS X 10.4.9, XFree86 4.3.99.903(184): 6 seconds. -- Vincent Lefèvre <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - Web: <http://www.vinc17.org/> 100% accessible validated (X)HTML - Blog: <http://www.vinc17.org/blog/> Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / Arenaire project (LIP, ENS-Lyon) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
