Then add this to the bottom of your /boot/grub/menu.lst title Windows (hda1) root (hd0,0) chainloader +1 makeactive Of course, if hda1 is not your windows drive, then you will need to modify the root (hd0,0) to be what it is. Normally the installer would take care of this for you if you had windows on a machine already.
