It happend with newly installed Etch from 3 DVDs. After incident, when I tried # aptitude install einstein it worked. Then # aptitude worked too (no errors anymore) but dependecies info was gone away. All installed padkages was marked as if manuely installed (only 'i' not 'i A' in packages list).
