Hm, sounds like a misburned cd... Do you use cdrw media? I just discovered a similar problem with an old cdrw. The warning message says that it would like to read /boot/vmlinuz<version>. But you use your own kernel. It's only a warning, ignore it ;-) But to verify it you could look at /var/log/bootcdwrite.log. Somewhere there should be following line: KERNEL /mnt/boot/bzImage So long Thomas -- .''`.
