If you have broadband you can easily and safely upgrade to the latest KDE, add 
the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

    deb http://download.kde.org/stable/3.1.2/Debian stable main

Again I would recommend an upgrade to the latest mozilla, add this to your 
/etc/apt/sources.list:

    deb http://debian.relativ.org/ ./
