Yes, I agree. It is just that it becomes difficult for an existing system to change its file system without re-install. If I install the system again or on a new machine, I will consider using LVM from the very beginning. For the current system, I will think of whether to change when I have free time. Thanks. :) BTW, I see the power of LVM now. Just recall that we have a Etch file server that have two big disks. We have to call them "data1" and "data2" respectively.
