If you want to know the packages by installation/update date you can use "tddebidate" but for this you need to put <http://mentors.debian.net/> into your /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main then apt-get update apt-get install tddebidate The package works perfectly with Sarge, Etch and Sid on the console and under X. To get only the packages, use tddebidate --no-header |cut -d' ' -f3 Note: I am the Author :-) Thanks, Greetings and nice Day Michelle Konzack Systemadministrator Tamay Dogan Network Debian GNU/Linux Consultant -- Linux-User #280138 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org/ ##################### Debian GNU/Linux Consultant ##################### Michelle Konzack Apt. 917 ICQ #328449886 50, rue de Soultz MSN LinuxMichi 0033/6/61925193 67100 Strasbourg/France IRC #Debian (irc.icq.com)
