http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/ That give a tremendous amount of info. Though, I haven't actually used one of these cards yet. But based on what I have read, you will need to get the v3.0 firmware. From: http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/firmware.php?fid=7 One thing you will probably need is the linux kernel headers and so on Personally I use module-assistant. (aptitude install module-assistant) Once you get that... make sure you do the following: m-a update m-a prepare m-a a-i ipw2200 m-a a-i ieee80211 Answer any questions asked with a yes. Once the two packages are installed you will still need to follow the steps on putting the firmware into place and autoloading. For that, I bow to others using the Intel Pro Wireless 2200. I assume extracting the firmware and putting it into /lib/firmware/ will work. In other words, putting ipw2200-*.fw (from the v3 firmware file you had to agree to licensing) in there. But, I should be corrected, if I am wrong. -- greg, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Novell's Directory Services is a competitive product to Microsoft's Active Directory in much the same way that the Saturn V is a competitive product to those dinky little model rockets that kids light off down at the playfield. -- Thane Walkup -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
