A bit of searching would lead you to the answer, but I will sum it up for you. Debian requires all software to meed the Debian Free Software Guidelines (dsfg) to be included in the main repositories, since Firefox is free, it used to be there. But recently, Mozilla trademarked the firefox logo and added a requirement that the logo must be included in firefox distributions. Since that violates the dfsg, Debian retorted by "rebranding" the code and creating IceWeasel, IceDove, IceApe and perhaps more. Those are the only ones I have encountered. Note that I am not taking sides here, and do not want to start the debate all over again. I am just reporting what happened.
