Hi ! I've come to Debian after using Suse for a while. Please excuse any expectations, though mine are not big.
I've made changes to crontab, of which only one is working. /etc/crontab says, cron doesn't have to be restarted, and I wouldn't know how, cause there is no rccron like in Suse. Any idea where the problem lies? Here's my crontab: # /etc/crontab: system-wide crontab # Unlike any other crontab you don't have to run the `crontab' # command to install the new version when you edit this file. # This file also has a username field, that none of the other crontabs do. SHELL=/bin/sh PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin # m h dom mon dow user command 25 6 * * * root test -e /usr/sbin/anacron || run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily 47 6 * * 7 root test -e /usr/sbin/anacron || run-parts --report /etc/cron.weekly 52 6 1 * * root test -e /usr/sbin/anacron || run-parts --report /etc/cron.monthly # 0 4 * * * root wget http://********************/index.php 0 5 * * * root rm /root/index.ph* # 0 12 * * * root sh /etc/init.d/backup.sh 0 17 * * * root sh /etc/init.d/backup.sh Only the wget commands gets executed, not the other three.
